Jazsmin Lewis is an amalgamation of talent, beauty and brains. With an extensive Hollywood career that spans more than thirty years, Jazsmin has proven herself to be multifaceted as a musician, actor, director and producer. A mainstay in the world of film and television, Jazsmin Lewis began her career with her very first audition, which happened to be an incredibly popular sitcom "Martin". She then honed her comedy skills working steadily on multiple sitcoms and dramas until she landed her first series regular role just two years after she began. "Good News" was exec produced by a television legend Ed Weinberger (Mary Tyler Moore, Amen, Taxi) and working under this intense leadership gave her an "I can do anything" attitude. Which she has carried throughout her many years in the industry. After landing her series regular role on ABC's critically acclaimed drama "Line of Fire" she then went on to secure her recurring role on the popular show "Eve", where she showed that she was incredible at comedy and drama alike.
Jazsmin was recognized early and often, landing roles in big budget studio films and independents alike amassing an impressive 130 feature film and television credits. Most notably as Ice Cubes wife Jennifer Palmer in the barbershop trilogy and Cult classics "How to be a Player" and Three Can Play That Game". Winning awards for the title character, Traci Townsend in "Traci Townsend" thus beginning her season of accolades and awards. Boston international film festival for best actress and HAPAwards for best supporting actress to quickly follow.
Jazsmin began to branch out very early into producing and directing understanding the landscape of Hollywood. Producing 9 successful feature films and directing 5 to date, her tenacity has helped propel her forward as a force behind the camera as mush as in front. With several television shows and feature films in development, one of her passions has always been comedy. With incredible respect for what stand up comedians do, Jazsmin has always believed in giving artists a platform to shine. She is currently taking that passion to the next level by exec producing, producing and directing her newest addition to her growing roster, "Comedy Come Up". "Comedy Come Up" is a never before seen concept that blends "Def Comedy Jam" and The "Apollo" together. the show goes to small markets in cities all over the country showcasing local comedians and giving them their exposure when airing on multiple steaming platforms. Lewis is also producing and directing her next 4 projects.
